When I was 22 years old, I was making $13 an hour as a line cook, working 55+ hours a week, and essentially starting my career while working at one of the best restaurants in the country at the time.
Woke up missing the times of spontaneous travel. Fluffy beds in the French Alps, cottechino sandwiches from the best spot in Modena, and falling head over heels in love in Piedmont ❤️
Sweet summer, is that you?!?!
GLORIOUS SPRING!
Quick lunch in between scouting the woods for morels 🍄
Self care is served! Then we are having whey brined pork chops with peach pepper jelly and grits for dinner so there’s that. If you need me, I’ll be drinking orange wine on a porch, reading, listening to the rain, and absolutely not opening my email.

I cannot wait to reunite with my favorite fairytale wonderland and outdoor kitchen. The ramps, wild alliums, and waterfalls are calling my name!
Been thinking a lot lately about our chapter in the Yucatán and all the amazing people that made our time there so special.
One whole year of Miss. Cookie Two Step 💘
